What's right for you?![]() Chip or pellet - it depends on where your business is, what its energy needs and what the local supply situation is. There are several supply options. In general, pellets are easier to handle and produce more energy because they have lower moisture levels. Pellets take up less volume too, and that means you need less space to store your fuel. Wood chips are cheaper, but rely on relatively local supply - and take up more room. Boilers of all kinds are available, the biggest division being between those which can handle chips and those which work using pellets.
