Where do I get the fuel?

Trees, logs
There are suppliers throughout Wales, often only a few miles from your doorstep. Wood fuel is a good way of supporting local businesses and keeping money within the local economy.

Wood has been our main fuel source for thousands of years, and an increase in the use of wood fuels will mean that local woodlands are better managed, harvesting techniques are improved, and that forestry and other wood-based industries become more viable.

Wood chip from forest residues is usually available locally, while pellets, manufactured from by-products from wood processing, are available on a national basis, with new pellet producers are appearing in Wales and the rest of the UK.

And of course, logs from your local forester can be delivered direct to your door.
